Comfortable, cozy, relaxed ― the lodging at Cherokee Village Resort and Nature Center envelops you with comfort and welcomes you.

The Resort is continually growing and evolving, adding considerable improvements in landscaping with native vegetation that attracts and sustains native wildlife. Nature enthusiasts and ecology-minded environmentalists have built and developed the lodge and its surroundings.

You can hike the self-guided trails identifying native vegetation and wildflowers, or paddle along a mapped canoe tour spotting abundant wildlife and fossils.

The Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife designated the Resort an official Texas Wildscape.

Things to Do

Cherokee Village Resort family fishing

Activities at the Resort leave an indelible experience on your soul.

Catch your first fish from the dock on the lake's cove. Strap-on your life jacket and step into a leisurely cruise into the nooks and crannies of the banks of the lake. Self-guided nature trails open the way to discoveries. You can grab a volleyball or shoot hoops at the basketball court.

Wrap-up your day with a gathering around the campfire.

And each April, join us at our Monarch Butterfly Nature Festival, where you'll find nature displays, art exhibits, and fun things for the kids.

Rustic Cabins and Cozy Cottages

Your accommodations include full kitchens and well-appointed quarters. Rooms are clean and fresh with crisp bed linens and towels, and floors sparkle.
