Two local museums get into the spirit of the festival. The Bosque Museum decorates its rooms to reflect local Norwegian and pioneer traditions, and offers unique Norwegian souvenirs. The Bosque Arts Center hosts “The Arts of Christmas”, with seasonal exhibits, refreshments, and handmade Christmas gifts.

Heritage Village in Clifton City Park showcases dozens of booths with foods, and arts and crafts. Artisan demonstrations may include quilting, Norwegian painting, and wood carving. An authentic Norwegian lunch is served at the Clifton Civic Center.

Norwegian Country Christmas folk dancing

Historic homes and churches open their doors to visitors during the Christmas Tour on Saturday.  The itinerary varies each year.  You might visit the “Old Rock Church”, 1850’s era homes, or modern day Texas ranch homes.

The weekend ends back downtown Saturday night with carriage rides, Norwegian folk dancers, and a visit from Santa.
