Lake Whitney sailboat regatta

Sailboat Regattas

Lake Whitney sailboat

Lake Whitney
About once a month from April through October

Blue skies on a sunny afternoon, the wind at your back, and Lake Whitney all around you - these are the ingredients for a perfect sailboat regatta.

About once a month, typically on weekend afternoons in spring and fall, the sailboat regattas leave from Harbor Master Marina. Depending on the winds, the course may be setup to head west towards Bird Island, or southwest to the dam. Lofers Bend West Park, just west of the dam, is a good place to view the races that head that way.

To get an even closer look at the regatta, you might want to rent a boat from one of the local marinas. Pack some snacks, cruise down towards the dam for the afternoon, and plan an enjoyable afternoon watching the sailboats as they race across Lake Whitney.

Dates often change for these regattas, so be sure to check the Lake Whitney Sailors website beforehand.

Dates and times subject to change. It is recommended that you confirm these with the event organizer.
